Match observations: 

The feud between the Steiners and Hiroshi Hase and Kensuke Sasaki is heating
up, as their respective managers, Roddy Piper and Harley Race, have been getting
in some scuffles themselves. The fans are solidly behind the Steiners, although
both teams pull out *all* the stops, and that also goes for their managers.

The Great Muta's comeback almost bombed major-league. He got pinned by the
Razor's Edge, however he complained about the count and the ref order the match
to continue. I question his decision, especially considering how Muta then did
win.

Shawn Michaels avenged his loss to the 1-2-3 Kid in a major way tonight. He
totally dismantled the low-profile fourth Horseman and did so in convincing
fashion. Whatever caused the Kid to win his qualifying match against Michaels is
gone, and apparently gone for good. Welcome back, Shawn !

Jim Cornette proved once again why he is invaluable to his men. Steve Austin had
a good chance of beating Vader. Then he made the mistake of climbing the one
turnbuckle under which Cornette stood. Austin tried to hit Vader with a flying
axhandle, but Cornette pushed him off, and Austin flew right into the waiting
Vader's arms. Vader, having competed in several submission fights for the UWFI
in Japan, grabbed Austin's extended arm and put him into an armbar submission.
After more than 20 seconds, Austin realized he wasn't going to get out of the
hold and submitted before more damage was done. This goes to prove only one
thing: Austin is one of the few intelligent wrestlers out there. Live to fight
another day. A great motto by the former champion.
