VM: Alright, folks... we just witnessed what many think was the best WWF Title 
    match of all time. There's no doubt that it could have gone either way. Al
    Snow lost and he lost like a man. As a result of the title vs title match,
    this year's King of the Ring tournament will crown a new Intercontinental
    Champion, and we have put 32 names into a hat. Sixteen of these men will 
    battle it out in the grueling tournament. Since this year's reward is not
    just a guaranteed title shot but a much more precious prize, the WWF
    Intercontinental Title, the King of the Ring will be very special... in
    more ways than one.

JR: Now what does that mean ?!?

VM: As you know, the winner will be rewarded the Intercontinental Title. What
    I was thinking is "how do we get the wrestlers to work even harder". I
    know that many of the 32 names in the hat have no intention to win the IC
    Title because it's the World Title they're after. Some wrestlers have been
    overheard saying that they'll drop their matches intentionally, which is
    unheard of.

JR: So ?

VM: I don't want to have that kind of attitude in our locker rooms and I have
    made a decision.

JR: Which is ?

VM: The losers of the eight first-round matches of the King of the Ring which
    are going to take place in two weeks in Madison Square Garden... will have
    to leave the WWF by year's end - no exceptions granted.

JR: What the heck ? You're going to FIRE them ?

VM: If that's what you want to call it... yes.

JR: That's going to get them to work alright... now let's find out who the
    participants will be. Vince...

[ Vince McMahon draws a name out of the hat. ]

VM: Brian Christopher will wrestle... [ draws another name ]... "The Nature
    Boy" Ric Flair !

JR: Now I know Flair and he's going to be fuming... Vince, you just made 
    yourself an enemy.

VM: Diamond Dallas Page will square off against... Dean Malenko...
    "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock will do battle with...
    "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson.

JR: What is this going to be ? A Horsemen tournament or what ?

VM: Ahmed Johnson will face... Hayabusa... Brian Pillman squares off against...
    Kendo Ka Shin... Shinjiro Otani faces... the legendary Tiger Jeet Singh...
    oh... another great - Tatsumi "The Dragon" Fujinami will wrestle... Jyushin
    "Thunder" Lyger.

JR: Now that one's going to please our many Japanese fans.

VM: And finally... "The Rock" Rocky Maivia squares off against... wait a 
    second, these two cards are sticking together... HOLLYWOOD HOGAN !

JR: What ? Hogan and Flair in the same tournament ? Anderson ! Hayabusa !
    Fujinami ! DDP ! Shamrock ! This is going to be the biggest King of the
    Ring ever ! Fans... we're out of time... see you in two weeks in MSG !
