Rating: **** 1/4 (Chris Benoit retained the WWF World Title.) Click here to see highlights. Card rating: ** 1/4 Match observations: Shawn Michaels and Diesel seemingly are unable to find a way to beat Paul E.'s Dudley Boys. Maybe it would be better to just let it rest and admit the Dudleys are the better team. Then again, neither wrestler's ego will allow that to sink in. After being robbed by Rob Van Dam and Bill Alfonso at In Your House, Dave Finlay has finally found some redemption. Owen Hart is a tough customer but he was no match whatsoever for Finlay tonight. In fact, Hart was lucky to return to the dressing room without help considering the ferocity with which Finlay ripped into him. Can you say "IC title" ? Rob Van Dam beware ! Speaking of Rob Van Dam - Bill Alfonso once again saved his title. Sting had Van Dam beat with a powerslam but Alfonso was there to save the day. This seems to be turning into a pattern which doesn't bode well for Van Dam's longterm title prospects. Hayabusa, on the other hand, is working hard to get a shot against Van Dam. It may still be a few months but if he keeps this up. Liger and Sasaki beat the Head Hunters ! I'm a believer now but WWF officials seemingly aren't. They have ordered Liger and Sasaki to give the Head Hunters a rematch in the Free For All preceding the Survivor Series which will be our next major card. Just when you thought the tag team scene was big enough, here come the Horsemen. We have been told that Ric Flair and the Undertaker will make a serious play to wrestle for the WWF World Tag Team Titles. However, beating The Giant (substituting for the nowhere-to-be-found Yokozuna) and Toshiaki Kawada, can only qualify as step one of looong ladder to the top. It seems as though Vader is hellbent on getting his title back from Chris Benoit. Not even Hollywood Hogan could phase Vader. In fact, Vader destroyed Hogan in only three-and-a-half minutes which has to be a first in wrestling history. Speaking of wrestling history, the Benoit-Malenko match couldn't quite live up to expectations. The two wrestled a forty-minute classic for sure but in some weird way, it was lacking. It truly is hard to explain, though.
