Card rating: *** 3/4 Match observations: It was an excellent night for wrestling fans, that's for sure. No major surprises and no title changed but a few noteworthy things. First of all, WWF officials were in err when they announced Vader was defending the BFA title against Antonio Inoki when it in fact was The Undertaker. The crowd didn't react kindly seeing that Vader is a much bigger star in Japan. Shinya Hashimoto and Dan Severn put up a match which will be remembered for a long time to come - not necessarily because of the actual wrestling but because of the intensity. Both men knew the other was extremely dangerous and neither side wanted to give the other an opening. Hashimoto kicked the living hell out of Severn. Severn suplexed Hashimoto into oblivion. Neither really deserved to lose but it was Severn who made a crucial mistake of lowering his head trying to pick up Hashimoto for a spinebuster. Hashimoto saw it coming and locked Severn in a guillotine choke for the submission. Chris Benoit scored his first-ever submission win over Jyushin "Thunder" Lyger in the main event. This was another one in their long line of classics, and Benoit proved that he really has come of his own. The go-behind - legsweep - Crippler Crossface combo is one he should permanently include in his arsenal... it might be useful against others, too. The "In Your Dome" in Fukuoka will have a quadruple main event of: Antonio Inoki/Tatsumi Fujinami vs Ric Flair/Hollywood Hogan Austin vs Undertaker non-title Elimination Match: Van Dam/Finlay/Williams/Severn/Shamrock vs Hashimoto/Hayabusa/Lyger/Kawada/Ohtani Chris Benoit vs Masahiro Chono Check it out !
